Can you explain windows and Magin margin calls me to trade in Forex?

Hi, I'm new in forex and only began to work my way through of babypips but I have a question I can not seem to find an answer. According ibfx (not sure if permitted URL link here), the margin is defined as: level of margin capital = current account / current amount of margin in the use I have heard that agents will make margin calls when margin levels are at 50% and 80%. I do not understand why this is the case. I would think that while the equity in the account is equal to or greater than the amount required for open the position that trade could be sustained. I see a margin call, if a fluctuation of a pip bring the capital below that amount, but do not see how a margin of 50% affects this. If anyone can provide some example numbers might be useful to clarify this for me. Thank Fortexwindo
