my guess is whoever's selling this to you is mostly pimping the included software. keep this in mind: while that software may be great right now, an obsolete powerpc chip like this one will not allow you to upgrade to anything in the future. that processor is too slow to handle any of the current software. maybe you could upgrade to os 10.5 but that's about it. i doubt even ilife '08 would run without seriously bogging down that computer.
i would not offer more than $250 for this computer and that's only if you're using it as an "internet only" computer.
